Paleo Chocolate Chip Waffles

These Paleo Chocolate Chip Waffles are fan-tastic! Your entire family will fall in love with these, so why don’t you surprise them with some yummy almond flour based waffles one of these mornings? These waffles will make for an extra special morning that will start everybody’s day right!

It’s so fun to make recipes that go with the season too, as one gets extra excited for what is to come. The smell of warm waffles with a hint of cocoa and cinnamon is sure to put you in the mood for some holiday fun! During these colder months, nothing beats a warm breakfast with fresh fruit and lots of maple syrup! It’s rich, filling and healthy. They are seriously two thumbs up, you guys! Gotta try ’em.

And to bump up the fun a notch, have your kids help you make these; they can add in the chocolate chips or help you mix the ingredients together. They’ll feel a part of the process and will be excited to eat these yummies once they’re done. It’s a great bonding activity for the family. Who is excited for the holidays? I know I am!

  1. I’m new to all things paleo (just stumbled on your website while researching for more info). I love what I’ve found so far (via your website) and am eager to start (my family will be shocked). These waffles look amazing, however I’m allergic to cacao & all products containing chocolate. Will the recipe be okay if I were to just eliminate the allergic ingredients? Another question I would like to ask (if you don’t mind), I’m wondering the affect this diet will have on individuals with diabetes. Four of my 8 children are Type 1 Diabetic.
Thank you in advance for your response and for providing this amazing website for newbies like me to learn from.

    1. Hi there! Yes, juts go ahead and remove the chocolate…you can replace it with any other flavor of preference, like lemon (using lemon peel), pumpkin (using a bit of pumpkin puree), or something as simple as berries (using a few blueberries or blackberries in the mixture). Paleo will help stabilize your sugar levels (keeping insulin spikes under control), so I think that you’ll see positive results in regards with your Diabetes.
