I have a super easy wrap recipe for ya’ll today. It is very fresh tasting and totally delicious!
(My favorite part is that it has Spicy Pepper Jam in it, which gives it a fun and flavorful twist; and the combination of the jelly and the cream cheese — oh-man — heavenly!)
I like easy, don’t you? Especially because life can get super busy and fast paced, and sometimes the thing we need the most is “easy”. And making life easy when it comes to food is HUGE!
I love having a few go-to recipes for delicious meals that can be easily and quickly put together on those crazy, full-of-activity days. When I know I’ll be having a busy week, I’ll usually think about my easy go-to meals and then just go to the grocery store to stock up on the ingredients these meals call for — that way, I’ll have everything I need readily available to quickly prepare my meals. Packing yourself, or your loved ones, a little lunch with a meal or with a few healthy snacks can really go a long way; it will keep you (or your loved ones) nourished and provide you with sustained-energy for you to accomplish your daily goals while staying sharp.
Food is a very important part of our lives; it is not healthy to skip on meals, no matter how busy we get. So plan ahead, friends, and feed your body right! Hope you find this recipe as delicious and as useful as we do in our home!
- 3 heaping tablespoons regular cream cheese
- 2-3 heaping tablespoons spicy pepper jelly (I used the Tabasco brand)
- 2 slices Havarti cheese, thinly sliced
- 3-4 oz. oven roasted turkey breast deli, thinly sliced
- 1 – 1½ cups lettuce, chopped
- Garden Spinach Tortilla (I bought mine at Whole Foods)
- Place tortilla on a clean and flat surface.
- Spread cream cheese and pepper jelly on one side of your tortilla, the side that faces the ceiling (spread it all over and be generous!)
- Add the following ingredients to your wrap in this order: Havarti cheese, turkey, lettuce (distribute these evenly throughout the wrap, just be sure leave the edges – about 1” – ingredient free.)
- To roll your wrap: grab two ends of the tortilla and fold them in so they begin to “hug” the ingredients; while holding the tucked in sides, use your thumbs to grab the end of the tortilla closest to you, and start rolling it over the ingredients until it covers them all.
- Slice in half and eat. Enjoy!
