There is something so lovely about peaches. It could be their sweet taste, their beautifully subtle orange color, their soft skin, or the naturally soothing effect they have on us after consumption. Or maybe it’s a combination of all of those things that make them so great!
Peaches are a wonderful gift of nature. Even though grocery stores carry peaches year round, the fruit is at its peak during our summer months (May – September.) In Idaho, the state where we live, peaches are at their peak at a slightly different time of year (August-October) — which makes it fun, because when summers are over, I can still look forward to visiting the farmer’s market and getting my hands on fresh peach boxes! Idaho peaches are incredibly juicy and soft, I highly recommend you trying some if you get the chance.
I am sharing another Healthy Bowl recipe with you today. If you haven’t been able to tell by now, I am in this huge Healthy Bowl kick — enjoying the wonderful fruits of our earth every morning, afternoon, or night with some fun little healthy toppings on top. Healthy Bowls are like happiness in a bowl. I love the fact that they can be made in any way we want (using whatever fruit and toppings we have on hand or whatever fruit and toppings we feel like having at the time), that we can prepare it ourselves in the comfort of our own homes, that we can make as much or as little of it as we want, that we know exactly what is being added to our treat, that we can control the cleanliness of our ingredients and prep area, and that we can savor it guiltlessly in our favorite spot at home where tranquility rules (I love peace and quiet while enjoying my food!)
Hope you have fun making some Healthy Bowls of your own this Spring! And if you do, enjoy and savor them fully!
